Cleaning of wheels and rims
Brake dust is metallic, therefore, will corrode and expand, distorting and damaging the alloy surface.
Clean wheels as a first step, before claying and polishing, as the chemicals used to clean rims and tyres could contaminate a freshly polished surface if done afterwards.
Use a specially formulated wheel cleaner and wheel brush or mitt, clean the wheel working from the inside out.
Wheel cleaners are powerful abrasives, so do not leave them on your wheels for too long, and it’s important to make sure all the cleaner is washed off. Give the wheels a good rinse, ideally using a hose or pressure washer. Hose out your wheel arches, removing the grit and dirt that could otherwise fall back onto your nice clean wheels.
Once all of the wheel cleaner has been rinsed off, wash your wheel in warm soapy water and dry with a microfiber towel.
Application
1.Ensure your rims are clean and well clayed & polished with no scratches, chips or abrasions.
2. Spray and wipe the surface with a dedicated IPA wipe(Oil and residue remover)
3. Apply the wheel coating onto a foam or microfiber applicator, spread evenly over entire surface overlapping, ensuring not to leave an area not covered.
4. Wipe off lightly with a clean microfiber cloth to level out and ensure no high spots are visible.
