Carpro Boa ultra plush towels are generally used in the paint correction process for polish residue wipe off. The reason for using the 500gms towel is because the microfibers are raised so as dirt, dust and polish slides in between the fibers so as to not drag along the surface of the paint inducing scratches. Using a 250gsm cloth with flat fibers will drag along the surface the residue and dust, which could induce scratches.
What is microfiber?
Microfiber is a man-made material that combines two fibers, polyester and polyamide. The polyester gives the material strength and durability, the polyamide allows the fabric to be tremendously absorbent and quick drying.
These new upgraded microfiber towels have over 200,000 strands of fiber per square inch. One strand of this Ultra Microfiber is 10 times finer than silk and 100 times smaller than a human hair. It is softer, finer and more absorbent than any other Microfiber or conventional cloth available today. And,it absorbs seven times its weight in moisture.
Wash Care:
- CARPRO Microfiber towels are machine washable.
- Ensure to use a liquid detergent, as a powder tends to mesh together in balls and might clog up your towel.
- Do not use fabric softener as this will damage the fibers and leave a waxy oily residue on the towel.
- Tip- you may use a cap of vinegar into your wash cycle.
- Hang the towels out to dry in a shaded area and not directly in the sunlight as this will harden the fibers.
